CARSON CITY(AP) - Longtime Senate leader Bill Raggio has
stepped aside as Republican caucus leader after his endorsement of
Democrat Harry Reid over Sharron Angle angered GOP conservatives.
The Republican caucus on Thursday elected Sen. Mike McGinness of
Fallon to lead the minority party as it prepares for the 2011
session that begins in February.
A stalwart of the Senate where he has served since 1973, Raggio,
R-Reno, has been his party's caucus leader consistently for 28
