A Reno woman was arrested Wednesday when she armed herself with a steak knife and gun to confront her neighbors about her missing property.
The Reno Police Department responded to the Zephyr Point apartments at 10640 N. McCarran Blvd around 8:55 a.m. after several reports of an argument resulting in shots being fired were called in.
The police say that they found resident, Crystal Mendez, outside of her third floor neighbors apartment wielding a steak knife and firing shots toward the hillside in back of the complex.
Mendez told police that she discovered items missing from her apartment and she decided to confront her neighbors that she said were responsible.
No one was injured during the argument.
Mendez was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm where a person may be endangered. Her bail is set at $3,000.
