CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Harry Reid is announcing a
new lineup for his communications staff.

“My top priority has always been to fight for Nevada’s middle-class families, and we will make sure they know it,” Senator Reid said. “From cutting taxes for working families to putting patients in charge of their own health care, we will ensure that Nevadans know exactly what steps are being taken to create jobs, keep families in their homes and strengthen our economy.”

Zac Petkanas will serve as director of communications for Nevada. He replaces Jon Summers, who will be communications director for a newly formed Democratic policy center led by Reid and New York Sen. Chuck Schumer.

Meredith Mackenzie will be the Nevada press secretary for Reid's
office. She's been deputy press secretary for the past two years.

Christopher Moyer will now serve as deputy Nevada press secretary.

Reid's office announced the changes Thursday.
