Infant Unhurt in Fatal Apartment Shooting; Victim's Name Released

RENO, NV - Reno police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and an infant unhurt.

Just before 10PM Friday, July 18, neighbors reported the sound of several gunshots on the 1800 Block of Purdue Drive.

Officers arrived to find bullet holes in the wall and window of one apartment.

Police checked on the occupants of the apartments and located 23-year-old Anthony Cueva suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His infant son, also in the apartment, was unhurt. Police say Cueva was an innocent victim in the shooting.

Details of the investigation are still developing. Several young males in hoodies were seen running from the scene after the shooting, but police don't know who they are or if they were involved.

Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $2,500.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) wanted in connection with the homicide.
