Public Safety Fair Set for Saturday

RENO, NV - Public safety agencies from throughout Washoe County will hold a Crime Prevention and Safety Fair in the North Valleys at the Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Station Saturday, April 5 from 10AM to 2PM.
Address is 11525 Red Rock Road.

"Lights, Sirens, Safety" is free and the public is encouraged to attend to learn about a variety of crime prevention and personal safety topics. Safety fair visitors may take part in interactive demonstrations, equipment exhibits, free pet microchipping, free blood pressure testing, and more. The Sheriff's Office will also provide free safety activity books for children.

Participating organizations include: Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD), Washoe County Sheriff's Office (Patrol, Motors, K-9, Reserves, Sheriff's Mobile Auxiliary Response Team (S.M.A.R.T), Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), AlertID/Neighborhood Watch, Regional Animal Services, Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB), and Emergency Services Dispatch Center.

The goal is for the public to learn more about the tools and resources available to create a safe environment at home and at work.
