MINDEN, NV - Police have identified the man they believe is responsible for a recent armed robbery of J&M Mini Mart in Minden.
Forty-two-year-old Adolf Vytautas Stankus III has been identified as the man responsible for robbing the J&M Mini Mart in Minden February 10.
Stankus was recently arrested in Reno on similar charges and during questioning, Stankus admitted to the February robbery.
Stankus, a resident of north Douglas County, drives a grey-colored 2002 Volkswagon Passat, which matches the description of the suspect vehicle seen fleeing the scene of the J&M robbery on the night of the incident.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Investigators are working with the District Attorney’s Office to extradite Stankus back to Douglas County to answer local charges.
Investigators are additionally working to identify and collect evidence of Stankus’ involvement in the crime.
