SPARKS, Nev. -- Police are looking for two men they say assaulted a senior citizen, then stole his wallet.

It happened just before 5:30am Saturday in the 800 block of 15th Street in Sparks, near Sparks High School.

Sparks Police Department (SPD) officials say the victim was walking southbound on 15th when a man in his 20s came up to him and demanded his wallet. When the senior citizen refused, a second man got out of a nearby car and both suspects "battered the victim causing minor injuries." They got away in the car with the victim's belongings.

Police describe the first suspect as a Latino male in his mid to late 20s and the second suspect as simply a Latino male. The car they were driving was an older model green Dodge Neon with two doors.

Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects in this case.

SPD investigators ask anyone who has more information about this case to call them at (775) 331-2225 or contact Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900, www.secretwitness.com or text "SW" to 847411 (TIP 411).
