Victim in Early-Morning Stabbing ID'd; Witnesses Sought

RENO, NV - Reno police are still looking for anyone who saw a fight Sunday morning that left a teen boy dead.

Police say shortly after 1AM, they were called to a report of a large fight in the parking lot in the 5000 block of S. McCarran Boulevard, near the Jack in the Box across from Meadowood Mall. As officers were arriving, people were leaving the area in several vehicles. Police say the investigation reveals 17-year-old Moises Betancourt of Reno was taken to Renown with a knife wound to the chest. He died at the hospital.

Police say gang members were involved in the fight, but it wasn't a fight between rival gangs.

Police say they have talked to all the people involved in the fight, but there are differing accounts and they don't know if the stabbing was justified or if someone needs to be charged.
