RENO, NV - A motorcyclist is seriously hurt after a crash on Highway 395 Thursday.
About 11:30AM, troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol were dispatched to the crash on northbound 395 near the Lemmon Drive interchange. Troopers say three bales of hay fell from the back of a flatbed truck onto the road, and the biker hit one of them and was thrown from his bike.
Troopers say 50-year-old Brian Taylor had hit his brakes but was unable to stop in time to prevent hitting a bale. He slid about 200 feet along the asphalt. He was flown to Renown Regional Medical Center with what troopers say are serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Trooper John Protain is investigating this crash. Witnesses or anyone with additional information are encouraged to contact him via the Department of Public Safety-Communications Center at (775) 687-0400 regarding case number NHP-130900413.
