Virginia City announced in a press release Thursday the release of a mobile app that will provide visitors to the historic town tools to get the most out of their visit.
Virginia City has made the application available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. It provides visitors with information about the town’s saloons and restaurants, special events, shopping, lodging, weather and historical information about the city.
“We’re going to continue to make updates to the app in an effort to truly make it a valuable resource for our visitors and locals,” said Deny Dotson, Virginia City Tourism Director, in the press release.
The app will also allow users to purchase tickets to events like Chili on the Comstock and the International Camel Races via their device.
The mobile app is available on iTunes for Apple devices and on Google Play for Android.
