ELKO, Nev. (AP) - A 24-year-old man facing charges in a Nevada-Utah crime spree will undergo a mental evaluation before entering pleas to seven felonies related to the kidnapping of a West Wendover woman.
The Elko Daily Free Press reports District Judge Nancy Porter on Monday suspended the arraignment for Logan McFarland until the evaluation is conducted at Lake's Crossing in Sparks.
Authorities say McFarland and 26-year-old Angela Atwood drove to West Wendover in a car stolen from Utah. Atwood is accused of using
a gun and trying to steal a West Wendover woman's car with her inside. Atwood has also been known as Angela Marie Hill.
The victim fought with Atwood over the gun and was shot in the head when she tried to flee in the car. She survived the gunshot.
