RENO, Nev. -- Teachers from Echo Loder Elementary School turned in their white boards and dry erase markers this afternoon for a french fries and golden arches.
They swapped careers as part of a fundraiser called "McTeacher." For three hours today, from 3-6 p.m., they worked the counter, drive-through and even made food of the McDonalds on Kietzek and Vassar in Reno.
Twenty percent of their sales go straight to Echo Loder.
"We have a lot of challenges. We have wonderful families and wonderful kids. And we just need support everywhere we could go, so it's wonderful for McDonald's to do this annual tradition for us to help us out. So we really appreciate it.," Vice Principle, Deanna Ciaramello said.
They've raised about $500 for their school.
