CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - A man has been ordered to stand trial on a first-degree murder charge in the slaying of Nevada's chief insurance examiner.

Justice of the Peace John Tatro this week ruled there was sufficient evidence to try Raul Garcia Jr. for the April 2013 death of 62-year-old William McCune in his Carson City apartment.

In October, three other defendants entered plea agreements with prosecutors in the case.

In return for a chance of lighter sentences, Makyla Blackmore, Anthony Elliott and Michael Evans agreed to testify against Garcia.

All four defendants, who are in their early 20s, were arrested after McCune's body was found in the Carson River in Carson City wrapped in a blanket and duct tape.

The Nevada Appeal reports Garcia is scheduled to be arraigned April 7.
