SPARKS, NV - A seven car pile-up early Friday morning on I-80 Westbound trapped drivers for about three hours and sent two people to a hospital.
“The car was spinning like a top, there was nothing really we could have done," says Norman Welch.
The only thing Welch could do, was hang on.
He was in one of seven vehicles that slammed into each other on I-80 West at about 5am Friday. The result of the crash: cars crumpled on the highway alongside pieces of strewn metal.
Two women were hurt and taken to Renown; one has already been released.
Nevada Highway Patrol troopers say they’re still not sure whether the crash was weather-related, but drivers involved in the crash say the area was foggy and visibility was low.
