ELKO, Nev. (AP) - A Nevada judge declared a Utah woman competent
for trial but postponed a ruling about her co-defendant in the New
Year's Eve carjacking and shooting of a West Wendover woman.
Elko County District Court Judge Nancy Porter made no immediate
decision Tuesday about 24-year-old Logan McFarland after state
psychologists testified they wanted more time to evaluate him.
The Elko Daily Free Press reports Porter on Monday declared Angela Atwood Hill competent for trial. She faces charges including kidnapping and attempted murder in the wounding of Rattanaphorn Keomanivong (rat-AN'-ah-forn kyo-MAN'-ih-vong).
The judge scheduled Hill's arraignment June 20.
Hill and McFarland also are persons of interest in the slayings of 70-year-old Leroy Fullwood and his 69-year-old wife Ann. They were found dead Dec. 31 at their home in Mt. Pleasant, Utah.
