LAS VEGAS (AP) - Records show a 30-year-old Nevada prison inmate
killed in a fight with another prisoner had been convicted of
murder in 2008 in Las Vegas.
The Nevada Department of Corrections says Gonzolo Antonio Tejada-Rivas died after a Dec. 16 altercation with another man at High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the Nevada Department
of Public Safety is handling the investigation, with help from corrections investigators.
The newspaper says Tejada-Rivas pleaded guilty in 2008 in the slaying of his girlfriend, 32-year-old Edith Calderon. She was a mother of four.
