RENO, NV - The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) has zero tolerance toward reckless driving and will focus on reducing the number of accidents in the area.
From now through August 12, 2013, the NHP will increase enforcement efforts on Highway 50, according to the NHP.
Their efforts will emphasize on stopping and citing motorists driving over the posted speed limit, reckless or aggressive driving, driving under the influence, tailgating, talking or texting on a hand-held cell phone, and lane change violations, according to the NHP.
Anyone violating these offenses will receive a citation as part of a "Zero Tolerance" approach to reduce accidents in the area.
The NHP reminds drivers to pay attention while driving and to follow the rules of the road.
