Virginia Range Horses Available to Public for Adoption

SPARKS, NV - Are you in the market for adopting a horse?

Horses gathered from the Virginia Range near Reno are available for adoption to rescue groups and private parties, according to an official with the Nevada Department of Agriculture.

Officials say the Return to Freedom Foundation American Wild Horse Sanctuary has first option when deciding the placement of the horses after being gathered by the Nevada Department of Agriculture.

The adoption fee is $125 per horse.

Horses available include horse that have been trained by former inmate trainers, seven halter-broke horses, two horses who have been saddled and others that have not yet been gentled, according to an official with the Nevada Department of Agriculture.
