Today's cars are more complicated than ever. That's why AAA and Ford are teaming up to encourage the next generation of Mechanics. Ten teams of 2 students gathered at John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks Thursday to participate in a state-wide competition.
The high school automotive students were presented with a car that was intentionally "bugged". The student mechanics raced to be the first to diagnose and fix each of the problems. The winning team goes on to represent Nevada in a nation-wide competition in June. Members of the top four teams will get a share of $133,000 in scholarship dollars. The following is a list of Thursday's winners.
