LOVELOCK, Nev. (AP) - One of the 10 most wanted fugitives in Nevada has been arrested by federal agents on attempted murder and stolen weapons charges.
The U.S. Marshalls Service says 37-year-old Edward Gene Happy of Reno was arrested without incident Thursday at a residence on the Lovelock Indian Colony about 60 miles east of Reno.
More than 20 agents from Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Sacramento assisted in a search and the arrest of Happy, who was considered armed and dangerous after violating his parole in January following his conviction for possession of stolen firearms.
Nevada U.S. Marshal Christopher Hoye says Happy also is wanted for attempted murder, but provided no details.
The Nevada Department of Public Safety put him on its 10-most-wanted list in June, describing him as a violent drug abuser.
