Fourth Bear Killed in First-Ever Nevada Bear Hunt

RENO, NV - A fourth bear has been killed in the first-ever Nevada Bear Hunt.

According the Nevada Division of Wildlife a male bear was taken from the Carson range Tuesday, somewhere between Highway 50 and Kingsbury Grade.

So far 2 males and 2 females have been killed since the season opened on Saturday, and all of the animals were wild bears, no tags were found on them.

This first legal bear season will continue until 6 females or 20 total bears are taken, and it is the responsibility of the hunter to check in with officials to determine when the season closes.
