A former Nevada Guardsman detained in the United Arab Emirates for more than 2 months on weapon related charges, is to be set free.
23-year old Nicholas Moody called his parents at 12:30am Monday morning to tell them the news is good, saying that his case has been dismissed.
Moody was arrested on September 29th during an 18-hour layover in Abu Dhabi while heading back from Iraq.
Moody was charged with possession of weapons accessories -- parts that could accompany a gun, though no firearm itself -- which is illegal in the UAE.
Lorian Moody, his mother, says Nicholas is free to leave the country as soon as his paperwork is in order, which is likely to take a couple days
