SPARKS, NV - All eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 are open again at Painted Rock east of Sparks after a fatal motorcycle crash that happened shortly after 2PM Friday.
The Nevada Highway Patrol tells us two people were on the three-wheel motorcycle pulling a small trailer when it hit a guardrail, sliding about a quarter mile. The female passenger was thrown and killed; the man controlling the bike was also thrown and flown to a hospital. There's no word yet on his condition.
No names have been released. The plate indicates the motorcycle is registered in California.
The crash is under investigation.
