FALLON, NV -- Fallon police have tracked a 14-year-old girl apparently taken in a child custody dispute.
Police were originally called last week to a home on East Virginia Street. They were told 14-year-old Jasmine went to visit with her non-custodial father, Inshan "Shan" Ross, and had not returned.
According to Fallon police, Ross was trying to re-connect with his daughter. The mother told police she had been in contact with Ross, who told her he had no intentions of returning the girl.
Tuesday, January 7, Fallon police got a warrant for felony kidnapping and custodial interference for Ross, whom they had discovered was at his home in southern California. Working with the San Bernardino Sheriff's Office, a warrant was served and Ross was arrested. Jasmine was found safe and is now in custody of Child Protective Services, waiting to be brought back to Nevada.
Bail for Inshan Ross is set at $55,000.
