A 48-year-old woman has been arrested in the drug overdose death of her teenage son in Elko County.
Police arrested 48-year-old Jane Getty at her home last week on
a felony warrant accusing her of second-degree murder, conspiracy
to violate the controlled substance act and sale of a controlled
substance.
The Elko Daily Free Press reports that Getty is accused of giving her 18-year-old son, Quentin Armas, $50 to buy heroin the day before he was found dead in his home Oct. 20.
She told investigators that Armas had been to the dentist for his wisdom teeth and was in pain even after he had taken two pain
pills the dentist had given him.
Bryan Herrera and Rodney Draney earlier were arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in the case.
