Reno, NV (KOLO) A 21-year-old Elko man who is accused of using a sword to torture and mutilate a cat opted out of a preliminary hearing and will likely strike a deal with prosecutors.
Rory White is charged with killing a cat back in 2012 by slicing its neck with the sword. Prosecutors say White removed the cats eyes after the cat was dead and kept the eyes as a souvenir.
White has an alleged accomplice named Tyler Coleman according to authorities. They each face felony animal torture charges.
