ELKO, Nev. (AP) - An Elko County man has been arrested after deputies say he tried to choke his daughter in a domestic dispute.
Undersheriff Clair Morris says 40-year-old Henry Wallace of Spring Creek was arrested on a charge of domestic battery by strangulation.
Deputies were called to his home Friday night. A female victim told them her father had grabbed her from behind and tried to choke her.
Morris told the Elko Daily Free Press on Tuesday there was evidence that supported her story, including marks on her neck. Two other children, ages 7 to 8, also witnessed the incident and gave similar accounts.
Wallace was being held in the Elko County jail where his bail was set at $15,000.
