Elko Man Gets 55 Years for Killing Ex-Wife in MT

SUPERIOR, Mont. (AP) - A Nevada man who pleaded guilty to strangling his ex-wife to death in western Montana has been sentenced to 55 years in prison.

KECI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/v8nQcA ) 52-year-old Michael Woodard of Elko, Nev., was sentenced Wednesday. He pleaded guilty to deliberate homicide in August, three months after the body of Kelly Dube Woodard of Superior was found in a wooded area about 6 miles from Superior.

She was reported missing on May 24. Michael Woodward was
arrested the next day in Nevada. Dube Woodard's body was found May
27.

Woodard and Dube Woodard were married for about five years in the late 1990s and lived in Elko, Nev.
