CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Carson Tahoe Health is teaming up with Prestige Care on a residential facility for patients with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia.
The organizations on Friday announced plans to develop a 40-unit residential memory care facility on the hospital's medical campus in Carson City. Construction will begin sometime this year.
Carson Tahoe Health encompasses three hospitals, two urgent care facilities and other medical support facilities in 22 locations in western Nevada and parts of eastern California.
Prestige Care and Prestige Senior Living operate more than 80 senior communities in the West, offering assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and memory care.
