RENO -- The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to 194 calls to help drivers during the Burning Man event -- that was the total as of Saturday, according to Trooper Chuck Allen. Allen said he expected Monday would be a busy day on local highways as burners returned from the Black Rock Desert.
Allen said the Burning Man festival provided more than sixty-thousand dollars to fund patrols during the event.
Allen urged people to properly tie down items on vehicles as they leave the desert. He added he anticipated calls about items in roadways. Allen also said people should be cautious amid the traffic.
Officers will be out in force, according to law enforcement agencies.
