WADSWORTH, NV - Strong winds played mayhem for fire crews in Wadsworth Wednesday.
Arching power lines triggered a number of brush fires including one fire that burned an outbuilding.
Firefighters where able to protect several smaller outbuildings, but in the process one firefighter was injured with minor second degree burns.
After both fires were contained and all of the fire resources began returning to their jurisdictions, two more small brush fires started. Volunteers from Nixon and Wadsworth Volunteer Fire Department were still in the area from the previous fires and were able to contain the two fires without needing additional resources.
NV Energy has now fixed the power lines in the area.
