Airport Fence Plowed Down by Alleged DUI Driver

RENO, Nev.--A Reno man tried to walk away after a rollover that damaged an airport fence, according to Reno police.

It happened around 7:45 Sunday evening near Longley Lane and Peckham Lane.

Police say a man in his 30s veered off the road, hitting a fence and flipping his Jeep.

He got out of the vehicle on his own and started to walk away. When police caught him, he claimed he wasn't driving, but a witness identified him from the accident.

Police say his blood alcohol level was well above the legal limit at 0.2%

An airport representative says the fence is on the exterior perimeter and does not affect the secure perimeter of the airport, but they will replace the fence as soon as possible.
