The National Championship Air Races fly into Reno this week with five days of racing and planes that reach more than 500 miles per hour. The event features military and historic airplane displays along with jaw-dropping aerobatic exhibitions. All the action happens at the Reno Stead Air Field, through Sunday.
An annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society breaks ground on Saturday. The "Big Dig" will take place off I-80 East at the Patrick exit. Adults and Children alike have the chance to operate construction equipment, while helping support local cancer patients.
