A Carson City woman is one of a pair of skydivers killed during a training exercise near Lodi, California.
The parachute center has identified Barbara Cuddy, 48, as one of the jumpers who died. The other was Robert Bigley, 40, from the Bay Area.
The pair was taking part in a eight person training exercise in preparation for the national skydiving championships next month.
The team was jumping in close proximity canopy formation when three chutes became entangled about 6,000 feet above the ground.
One skydiver was able to land safely.
Witnesses say the other two fell to the ground, one dying instantly; the other dying on the way to the hospital.
