4th Street - Prater Way Corridor Study

At one time, Reno and Sparks were two distinct cities separated by open space.

Over time they've grown together and the Lincoln Highway that once connected them has become the crowed 4th Street - Prater way corridor.

RTC is working to bring the busy roadway up to date, by improving use for vehicles, pedestrians, bikes and wheelchairs.

A workshop at Robert Mitchell Elementary School focused on getting the public’s input on proposed changes.

So far the study has focused on nine points along the route, and how well they handle the volume of traffic, along with the movement of pedestrians, bikes and wheel chairs.
