Nevada Unemployment On The Rise Again

RENO, Nevada (KOLOTV.com) -- The Silver State's unemployment rate jumped 0.7% in February to 10.1%

Statistics released by the Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation show the rate has doubled since last February. At that time, it was 5.5%.

Washoe County's unemployment rate is now 11.3%. That's one-tenth of a percent higher than January's figure.

Also going up one-tenth of a percent was Carson City's unemployment rate. It's now at 11.2%.

The county with the highest rate is Lyon County. February unemployment reached 15.6%. That's half of a percent higher than January.
