FALLON, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol says alcohol is
suspected in a fatal crash that killed a Fallon man.
Investigators say Gayle Narnin, 57, of Gabbs, was heading east of Highway 50 when her pickup truck swerved into oncoming traffic Monday afternoon, about 18 miles east of Fallon.
Guy J. Regan, 57, was heading east and tried to avoid a head-on collision, but investigators said Narnin's pickup struck the left front of his sedan.
Regan, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The patrol said Narnin was not wearing a seat belt and showed signs of alcohol use.
She was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Investigators say it will take several weeks for results of blood-alcohol tests.
