Scott baliban was one of about 1200 people in attendance at Canfest on Saturday night. He paid $35 at the door for a refillable beer glass. Some might call that a steep price, but Scott believes you can't put a price on hoppiness.
"This is my first time to Reno and I'm really psyched about Canfest. It's great experience, because these are breweries that I've never heard of, because I'm from New Jersey. Excellent selection, excellent variety, and I love it," says Scott Baliban.
Scott and the other Canfesters also enjoyed live music, beer pong and mini bike races. Of course the #1 activity was drinking, drinking, and more drinking.
"The Marsden beer was good, it had a full strong flavor and a clean finish," says Zak Lukas.
"The beer is the bomb diggity. If you could drink beer, a lot of beer, Black Star, the best ever baby," says a Black Star brewer.
"Dark, delicious, it made me full. I should probably stop drinking. Don't ask her about beers man," says Bailey and Joe.
By the end of the four hour night of tasting, the drink-athon turned strangers into friends.
"There's plenty of drunk people, and they're getting drunker which is cool. You can feel the energy getting better," says Timmy Evon.
"It's been a great opportunity to express your feelings and support the community that you really love," says a Canfester.
