SPARKS, Nevada (KOLOTV.com) -- It looks similar to snow, but the white stuff flying through the air north of Reno is actually what's called 'pogonip'.
Pogonip is a variety of fog in which ice crystals freeze in the air, then fall to the ground. When they reach objects, the crystals attach themselves and build up.
One of our photographers caught video of the pogonip on a branch, which is the picture you see on the screen.
