Golf Managers Part of Chinese Delegation Touring Nevada

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Officials from a half dozen golf clubs in China are among 25 members of a Chinese delegation touring Nevada this week.

It's the first such trip under a new agreement Nevada tourism officials hope will bring more Chinese visitors.

The international agreement finalized this year allows tour operators to advertise directly to Chinese leisure groups and book group travel to U.S. destinations.

The weeklong trip to Nevada included stops at Lake Tahoe, Reno, Virginia City, West Wendover, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.

The golf group started the week on Monday at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course at Stateline. They also played at Lakeridge, Arrowcreek and Sommersett in Reno.

Lieutenant Governor Brian Krolicki says Nevada's beautiful golf courses are one of the best places to showcase what the state has to offer.
