ELY, Nev. (AP) - Two Ely men has been arrested on gun charges and one of them likely will end up being deported for being in the country illegally.
The Ely Times reports that 29-year-old Geovany Solis and 33-year-old Joel Solis both have been charged with ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
They were arrested this week after the White Pine County Sheriff's Office and Eastern Nevada Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant on their Ely residence.
Officers recovered a 30-30 caliber rifle along with ammunition.
Each man was being held on $10,000 bail. In addition, Joel Solis was placed on a hold for deportation for allegedly being in the United States illegally.
