1st Female President for Tahoe College

A vice chancellor at Contra Costa Community College has been named the first female president at Lake Tahoe Community College.

Kindred Murillo was selected from a field of four finalists for the job replacing interim president Steve Maradian at the school in South Lake Tahoe.

College spokeswoman Christina Proctor says she'll begin work
later this year.

Murillo also has served as vice president of administrative services at Pasadena Area Community College and Copper Mountain Community College in Joshua Tree.

She began her career working in the California Community College system as an adjunct faculty member at Desert Community College District in Palm Desert.
