RENO, Nevada (KOLOTV.com) -- The man who Reno Police say murdered a University of Nevada, Reno professor, then fled the country, is now in the Washoe County Jail.
Mohamed Kamaludeen was arrested after arriving in Las Vegas on a commercial flight from Mexico City on Thursday (1/24).
He's been wanted for the murder of Judy Calder, whose body was found in rural Elko County in August 2007.
Kamaludeen -- who's also known by the name Rickey Barge -- was taken into custody at McCarran International Airport by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
He was then turned over to homicide detectives from both Reno & Sparks Police, and reportedly implicated himself in the murder. Those detectives escorted him on a flight to Reno.
Police kept details of Kamaludeen's arrival & arrest secret until early Friday morning when a news release was sent to the media.
