Street Vibrations Hits Victorian Square

For years Street Vibrations vendors have set up shop along Virginia Street in downtown Reno. This year they’ve moved to Victorian Square in Sparks, and so far reaction has been mixed. While they like that Sparks provides room to park, party and shop, vendors say they are worried that bikers won’t be able to find them this year.

“It would have been nice to have some notice,” remarked California resident Anthony Decarlo, “because we would have done things differently. We would have got a hotel here in Sparks.” Many bikers in town for Street Vibrations echoed Decarlo’s concern, saying there wasn’t enough advance notice about the changes. However word is beginning to spread, and those who have found their way to the new vendor location say they like what they’re seeing. “It was a little bit of a pain because I wasn't aware of it,” said biker Rod Kelley of San Jose, “but from talking to some of the vendors I think it's going to be better.”
