Many Americans are drinking too much and not telling their doctor.
That's according to a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In that report, at least 38 million adults in the U.S. drink too much.
Yet only one in six adults talk to their doctor or health professional about their alcohol use.
The agency urges health professionals to ask patients about their drinking habits and offer counsel on the dangers of overdoing it.
The CDC reports alcohol is responsible for 88-thousand deaths in the U.S. each year, and costs the economy 224 billion dollars.
