STRAFFORD, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a man faces child cruelty charges after he and his two sons walked more than a mile to a friend's home after a car crash.
Troopers say 40-year-old Justin Galenski of Fairlee was also charged Saturday with leaving the scene of an accident and reckless endangerment.
Investigators say Galenski and his boys, ages 4 and 9, were involved in a crash November 12. Police say they walked to the home of a nurse Galenski knows who helped assess the injuries.
The boys received treatment the following day for injuries authorities said included concussions, a broken arm and a broken clavicle.
Galenski said Sunday he loves his sons and the crash was an accident. He said he was advised not to comment further.
Galenski is due in court next month.
