SEATTLE (AP) - Police say a violent sex offender who fled Canada and was arrested in Seattle on Tuesday is suspected of a sex assault.
Police say Michael Sean Stanley struck up a conversation with a 16-year-old boy at a convenience store on Tuesday, plied him with alcohol in an alley and sexually assaulted him. The teen pulled a knife to get away and contacted police.
Later police received a report of a man yelling in an alley and threatening a person who asked him to be quiet.
When police arrived, Stanley was combative and they arrested him.
Stanley had been located in Seattle last week after leaving Canada.
