(AP)-A New Jersey woman has been arrested and charged for allegedly bringing her young child to a tanning booth. The 5-year-old child suffered burns to her body.
Patricia Krentcil, 44, has been arrested and charged with 2nd degree child endangerment.
New Jersey law states nobody under the age of 14 is allowed to use a tanning facility. Anyone under the age of 18 needs parental consent.
Officials say the mother took the child into the tanning booth with her
without salon's knowledge.
No charges are being filed against the salon at this time. Krentcil was released on bail.
The name of the salon was not released.
