More Victims In Central Park Sex Assault Case

NEW YORK (AP) - New York City prosecutors say a drifter accused in the alleged rape a 73-year-old birdwatcher in Central Park also groped two more women.

David Albert Mitchell pleaded not guilty Tuesday to rape and to forcible touching and sex abuse in the two other incidents.

Manhattan prosecutors had already accused the 42-year-old Mitchell of assaulting the first victim in broad daylight on Sept. 12. They say the attack occurred about a week after she photographed him exposing himself.

Authorities said Tuesday that before he was arrested, the West Virginia man randomly accosted two more women near the park on the Upper West Side.
