MONROEVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A construction worker in Pennsylvania has been freed from beneath an asphalt roller.

WTAE-TV reports doctors from Forbes Regional Medical Center went to the scene to treat and perhaps help free the man who became pinned late Friday morning in Monroeville. That's about 15 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Monroeville Police Chief Steven Pascarella tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the man was operating the vehicle when he lost control of it and it rolled onto him. Police described it as an asphalt steam roller truck.

Police weren't immediately releasing details on the man or his condition.
